Framing brand identity at an Airbnb in Southsea
(First concepts, by Sarah Lou)

An effective personal brand answers the question: “Who am I?” (without the need to explain). But in a dynamic world, it’s increasingly challenging to do what feels natural while making an impact.
I’m the kind of person who leaves a full-time job, packs her life into a rucksack, travels 200 miles to the coast, and curates an outdoor gallery at an Airbnb I later call home. I’m familiar with the bittersweet taste of dreaming and adaptable to change. Much like you I expect.
Behind the titles

You’ll want to know what qualifies me to be so bold as to curate your vision or write your comms. Which leads me to a question I often get asked:
“Why the career change?” (Isn’t it time you settled down?)
I’m perplexed. Isn’t change inevitable?
There is no one size fits all when you’re a creative communicator. ‘Communications Specialist’, ‘Teacher’, ‘Healthy Heart Consultant’, ‘Copywriter’, ‘Artist’ and ‘Mum’ are some of the interchangeable titles I’ve had over the past 20+ years. My work (like life itself) changes depending on people, place and context. But some things stay the same.
Art is what I do when I run out of words
and the thread that gives words meaning.

Say more about you

If you could sum up your vision, values, story and brand, what would it look like? What would it say? I hope it would be consistent yet changeable, communicating YOU through and through.
That’s the premise of Stamp out the Block. It’s an artisan approach to communicating your vision, connecting your people, and propelling your craft.
Let’s start with who you are and build a strategy where you can thrive in a dynamic world while being uniquely you.
